Very hard-to-find design! A veritable garden of red roses and green leaves painted under glass in this vintage goofus glass reverse-painted pin. 1 1/2" across, with pinstem extending beyond c-clasp, dating this to Victorian or early Edwardian era. Goofus Glass Mountain Chalet Scene Pin
Superb reverse-painted "goofus glass" pin from the Victorian/Edwardian era depicts an idyllic scene with mountains, evergreen trees, a chalet style house, a water mill and stream. The background is imitation mother-of-pearl with an iridescent sheen. This particular design is very hard-to-find; I've only come across it one other time in my years of buying and selling. Image is crisp, colorful and clear. Etched silver metal bezel frame and setting, with c-clasp pinback. Measures 1 1/4" length. - $95
Reverse-Painted Goofus Glass Pin ~ Dutch Windmill Scene ~ Enameled Frame
Gorgeous and very scarce "goofus glass" pin from the Victorian/Edwardian era is done in a blue monochrome, featuring a very detailed Dutch scene with canal, windmill, thatched roof houses on grassy banks, a leafy tree, hills in the distance. Design is raised and under bezel-set domed glass, although the water and reflections appear to be flat-painted. Genuine mother-of-pearl background, blue enameled frame. Silvertone metal frame with c-clasp pinback. Measures just under 1 1/2" across and is in excellent condition. - $125
Egyptian Revival Painted Porcelain Pendant
Vintage 1 5/8" hand-painted porcelain pendant with raised relief Egyptian motif appears to be European, similar in style to some of the Bavarian porcelain pieces produced around the Art Deco era. 18" silver-tone chain (spring-ring clasp). Excellent condition. - $130
Vintage French Celluloid Cameo Pin
Fabulous early cameo of cream-colored celluloid has an ornately molded frame, built up centerpiece and profile woman in relief. Her dress appears to be more of an Empire style than classical, and her hair is done in flowing curls. This was probably made in France, as the piece has the characteristic trombone clasp (two part pin back is embedded into plastic). Slightly over 2". Very good overall condition, apart from slightly bent pin stem and a small inconspicuous red mark on front of cameo. - $65
Vintage Painted Intaglio Floral Nosegay Pin
Possibly of English origin, this is a nice old piece with a painted intaglio design of a floral nosegay bouquet. This may have been a bridle rosette at one time. Flowers are vividly hued red and blue, accented with green leaves and brown stems. Set in a round bezeled backing with c-clasp pinback and domed glass cover. The metal frame and backing is rusted and darkened over time; there is a tiny bit of discoloration at the bottom of the image, but the bouquet design itself is still quite showy and bright. 1 1/8" diameter. - $30
Reverse-Painted Intaglio Butterfly Pin
Fantastic Edwardian era intaglio pin features a vividly painted butterfly in purples and blues, golden tipped wings with red spots. Image is colorful, sharp and clean, with pale beige background. Brass rope-twist frame; c-clasp pinback. 1 1/2" across; excellent condition. (Though not technically goofus glass, some goofus glass collectors do use that phrase to include this type of jewelry.) - SOLD
