Huge Clear Glass & Sapphire Blue RS Brooch
Huge and well-made brooch is unsigned but has characteristics of Schreiner; it is an unusual design and if not Schreiner, is certainly a designer piece. The shape reminds me of a star, or starfish, with a domed construction. Large faceted clear glass pear-shaped stones are dogtooth-prong set, with a fluted "piecrust" frame; alternating "spokes" are constructed with a sturdy goldtone mesh braid, overlaid with rows of sapphire blue stones. The center chaton is also sapphire-blue. Goldtone setting. 2 7/8" diameter. Mild surface scratches on the large glass pieces (observable only upon close inspection). - $145

1940's Vintage Ruby Red Floral Spray Pin Brooch
Beautiful 3 3/4" brooch, circa 1940's, has a very DeRosa look about it; it is very high quality, superbly made, and appears to be a delphinium or other type of flowering stalk. Ruby red glass stones positively glow. Potmetal setting with goldwash; center flower is made riveted on and is set with clear rhinestones. Clear rhinestones are also in the leaves. Two heavy parts are riveted together in the back. All stones are intact and in good color. Some mild scratching and fading of the goldwash, but overall a magnificent, quality piece. Very pretty little confection of a vintage pin is unmarked, but probably German. Clusters of faceted pink crystal beads (both transparent and with an iridescent aurora borealis coating) are wired onto a pierced metal backing, along with tiny strands of red glass seed beads and metal floral caps. In the center is a glass bead inside pink and enameled petals. 1 1/2" diameter; very good condition. - $20
Enormous Vintage Blue, Pink & Green Glass Butterfly Brooch
This is one honkin' huge brooch that will be the talk of the party! This measures 3 5/8" across and just under 3 1/2" in height, and is set with a blue oval-cut centerpiece, pale aquamarine and powder blue glass stones, teal green glass chatons, and opaque pink marquis-cut glass stones. The pin is structurally domed to make the butterfly look as if it has come to rest on the wearer's garment. Gunmetal gray plating. Excellent overall condition, apart from the center blue stone having lost most of the foiling once on the back, though this does not detract from the overall lovely appearance. - $140

Vintage Monkey In Palm Tree Pin ~ Blue Rhinestones
Circa 1940s/50s, this whimsical figural brooch features a monkey climbing in a palm tree, his outstretched hand reaching for a coconut. Blue rhinestone accents are set into several fronds. The monkey is goldtone while the tree is silvertone base metal. 2 3/4". No maker's marks, but has stamped circles on reverse which I've seen for other figural pins. Very good condition with a touch of plating wear in places, and a couple very small pinpoint holes in the base of the trunk (although I'm not sure whether this could have been intentional as part of the design). - $70
