Very rare, hard to find Elzac lion pin features a yellow ceramic face with handpainted features, a furry mane and glued-on purple bow tie. Face measures just over 2" across; fur lends several extra inches of width. C-clap pin. Some surface crazing, and possible paint loss to one eyebrow. There is an inked inscription on the wooden back which reads "Lexis" and "17/5/43" which appears to be a European style date. This could be the artist's inscription or may be a gift or owner inscription. (See photos). - $180
