This endearing little pin or brooch, circa early 1940's, features a Hummel child deeply engrossed in a book, with a thoughtful pose and glasses perched on nose. One of a series of figural pins based on Hummel art, designed by William Regelmann and produced by Silson as referenced as "The Book Worm" in Warman's Costume Jewelry Figurals by Kathy Flood. 2 1/2" height.
